SORScout-O-Rama―"Daily Good Turn" The Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council invites you to a day-long community showcase Scout-O-Rama – “Daily Good Turn.” It’s at Cantigny Park located at 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton on Saturday, May 19th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with over a hundred hands-on family activities that bring the perfect mix of unforgettable fun and import life lessons. Join us to honor the servicemen and women on Armed Forces Day and “do a good turn” by donating a food item to our event partner, Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Scout-O-Rama is open to the public and tickets are $5.00 per person (=1 ticket) or $20.00 per family (=4 tickets or one car load). Plus, they have a variety of one-time and year-long discounts that local consumers know and use frequently such as Legoland, Colonial Cafe, Burger King, and Dunkin Donuts. Tickets are available to purchase at Cantigny Park, the Norris and Deicke Scout shops, and at all Colonial Café locations. Onsite Parking is available at Cantigny Park and auxiliary parking with free shuttles will be at the DuPage County Government Center which is 1/2 mile North of Roosevelt Road (also known as Rte. 38, just off County Farm Road).

Join us in front of the Visitors Center at 9:00 am for the special opening ceremony with flag raising, artillery salute, extraordinary introductions, and guest speakers. All of the five zones will open immediately following this ceremony. The zones are: Outdoor, Military, Fun, Partner, and  Health & Nature.

Special thanks to Plano Molding for sponsoring the Outdoor Zone and to Bass Pro Shops for sponsoring the archery program. Be one of the first 1,500 to stop by the BeAScout.org booth and receive a “Goodie Bag” containing mini tackle boxes from Plano Molding, special Scout coupons from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, and other items.  These bags are available courtesy of Chicago Parent, Plano Molding, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Stop by the Geocaching booth sponsored by Cabela’s! Visit one of the many unit activities, the Three Fires Council booths, vendors, and sponsors throughout the zones.  Check out these booths: Chicago White Sox, Legoland, Brunswick Zone, Discovery Museum Center, Medieval Times, Kane County Cougars, Chicago Cubs, Microsoft, Conservation Foundation, Shelter Box, Morton Arboretum, Hinckley Springs, and many more. Be sure and enjoy the obstacle course, the wrist rockets, the inflatables powered by Popcorn/Trails End, and archery.  Visit First Aid Education, Northwestern’s Football Toss, the Freedom Bus, the Vehicle Display, and DePaul’s Basketball Clinic, among others!

Grab lunch or a snack from one of our food vendors in the picnic area. Choose from Colonial Café, Dunkin’ Donuts, Burger King, Little Caesars, Mustard’s Last Stand, Completely Nut, Bojo's, or Cantigny’s Le Jardin restaurant connected to the Visitors Center.

Colonial Cafe Menu: Turkey Wrap, Turkey Salad Wrap, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Ice Cream Cone Single or Double Ice Cream Flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip, Root Beer Float, Chips, Drinks (Gatorade, Soda, Water)

Check out the Radio Disney AM 1300 Road Crew Show from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm located in the Partner Zone on the parade field.  Radio Disney is poRockerwered by the Bulls/Sox Training Academy and Duncan Yo-Yo.  Don’t miss the special closing ceremony as skydivers from Chicagoland Skydiving Center land on the main parade field (weather permitting).

Earn the Rocker Patch: To earn the rocker patch, a participant must donate a food item(s) such as peanut butter or soup to our event partner, North
ern Illinois Food Bank and receive a Zone stamp from all 5 Zones in your program the day of the event, show SORthe completed Zone stamps to the Trading Post to be eligible to purchase the 2012 Scout-O-Rama event rocker patch!

Scout-O-Rama Tickets: You may pay for your tickets online using a credit/debit card, OR pay for them when you pick them up. Tickets are $5.00 per person (=1 ticket) or $20.00 per family (=4 tickets). The tickets have a variety of one-time and year-long discounts that local consumers know and use frequently. Vendors include Legoland, Colonial Cafe, Burger King, and Dunkin Donuts. Pick up your tickets at either the Norris Scout shop or Deicke Scout shop or at your District's monthly Roundtable. (Check with your specific District for location and times for your Roundtable Meetings). You can also also purchase tickets offline at either Scout shop or at your District Roundtables after March 1st. Tickets will also be sold at all Colonial Café’s and at Cantigny Park, but cannot be pre-ordered online for these locations. Tickets are non-refundable.
