Wood Badge course C7-127-12 began with a January 2012 Staff Development at Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton. Feb 25th saw the 2nd staff meeting. Here are some of the staff as they get acquainted with each other & start to work on course development.

Day 6 - Sunday May 15, 2011

Our last day of the course was highlighted by a celebratory dinner and exploring what we learned. Add to this a slide show of the 6 days and a closing Gillwell. Time to return home & work those tickets!

Day 5 - Saturday May 14, 2011

A morning conservation project for the camp removing invasive species of trees, followed by an afternoon showing off the patrol projects. Then off to the patrol outpost evening where the participants shared fellowship, food & rainy weather with good Scouting spirit.

Day 4 - Friday May 13, 2011

Week #2 started out hot & sunny. All 56 participants & 26 staff returned for more fun, learning & fellowship with great enthusiasm. We spent most of the day outside under the circus tent or at the patrol sites until the weather broke & the rain & cold front moved through. Yep! We had weather. Must be Wood Badge!

Day 3 - Sunday April 10, 2011

Sunday was very warm & humid! The sun came out & warmed us with temperatures near 80, with the storm front moving closer. Lots of time outdoors. Scouts from the Order of the Arrow & Crew 202 came & presented Leave No Trace principles and gave us an excellent reminder of why we are all here taking this leadership course! A final Gilwell & we returned to our homes to prepare for May.

Day 2 - Saturday April 9, 2011

Despite the early morning damp & cold, the staff & participants of C7-127-11-1 proceeded boldly ahead both inside & out beginning on Gilwell Field. Sun & warm weather arrived in the afternoon just in time for their rocket launches, & Wood Badge game shows filled the evening program. View photos of Day 2 in this album.

Day 1 - Friday April 8, 2011

In true Scouter fashion, all 56 participants arrived early for the first Wood Badge weekend, despite the stormy & cold weather. View photos of them as they crossed over from Cub Scouts into Gilwell Troop 1, dined at the luncheon banquet, & learned leadership skills in an outdoor setting. An evening campfire added fun & entertainment to a very busy day!
