Earn your Scout BSA Welding and Metalwork Merit Badges!

Complete all the requirements to earn your Welding and Metalwork Merit Badges. Learn about welding and metalwork hazards, safety precautions, processes and terms, various cutting methods and career opportunities in the industry. A certified merit badge counselor will lead participants as they demonstrate metalworking and welding skills, creating a project to take home.

Participants should bring a sack lunch.

  • In grades 7 through 10
  • Approval from your unit leader Read the welding and metalwork merit badge pamphlets prior to camp.
  • Participants must wear closed-toed shoes, full length denim pants, long-sleeve cotton shirt and have long hair tied back.
  • No student under the age of 16 can be left unescorted on campus. Parents or guardians are responsible for walking students to and from camp and signing them in and out with the instructor.
  • Completed Student Code of Conduct and Medical Release Form
