Family Camp at Camp Big Timber is two days and one night of unforgettable family adventure. Conveniently located in Elgin their are Activities for you and your child to enjoy together including archery, BB guns, Games, STEM activities, Rock climbing, a campfire and more!
Experience the Scouting program at a new level through the Cub Scout Resident Camp program. Get ready for a 4-day, 3-night overnight camping experience full of thrilling activities and awesome open programming. Wolf, Bear, and Tiger Scouts can complete dozens of advancements and awards in the beautiful woods of Rainbow Scout Reservation in Morris, IL. Exhilarating campfires, excellent staff, and endless fun can be expected when at camp. Resident camp is a great way to keep youth interested in the Scouting program and provides a good preview into the exciting world of Scouts BSA!

The Three Fires Council is proud to hire enthusiastic camp staff members annually to serve in both paid and volunteer positions for a variety of summer camp programs. Whether you are new to scouting or a seasoned scouter, all are welcome to apply if they share the same spirit of fun and learning our campers are looking for in the outdoors. Each and every staff member has the power to make a difference in the life of a scout and summer camp is the best place to make it happen.

Camp Big Timber
Camp Big Timber sits on a 70-acre parcel in the heart of Elgin, Illinois. Established in 1924, CBT is a close-in, family, Cub Scout and Webelos program and camping destination. Reserve any of facilities or campsites through our online registration system. Camp year-round in one of our cabins, plan a group campfire for up to 200 in our huge outdoor amphitheater, or host an event in our brand new lodge. Test your skill on our archery and BB gun ranges. CBT even boasts a full commercial kitchen - perfect for large groups. CBT also serves as our Council Training Center for a wide variety of adult leader training courses including Woodbadge, Outdoor Leader Skills and more.
