Cub Scout Summertime Day Camp is an adventure designed just for boys and girls in 1st to 5th grade (and beyond as a volunteer!), filled with hands-on fun, outdoor exploration, and unforgettable summer memories. This year’s DINO-MITE! theme takes intrepid adventurers on a prehistoric journey where they explore, experiment, and discover in a safe, supportive environment led by trained staff and volunteers.

Day campers enjoy a wide variety of activities, including archery and BB shooting to build focus and confidence, nature and outdoor skills through hands-on exploration, and STEM activities featuring creative experiments and problem-solving inspired by dinosaurs and fossils. The climbing wall challenges Scouts to reach new heights while developing perseverance, and games, crafts, and group activities provide time to play, create, and make new friends.

Summertime Day Camp is offered at Von Oven, Maple Park, and Good Templar Park, each providing a unique outdoor setting while delivering a DINO-MITE experience packed with adventure, learning, and classic outdoor fun and games.

Programming at Summertime Day Camp

Program Stations at Summertime Day Camp are designed to keep campers active, engaged, and excited throughout the day. Campers rotate through a variety of stations including Nature, STEM, Crafts, Skills, Games, Sports, BBs, Archery, and the Climbing Wall—each offering hands-on experiences led by trained staff. These stations allow youth to try new activities, build confidence, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment. For many Scouts, Summertime Day Camp is one of the only opportunities to earn their Range and Target Activities Adventure, making camp not only fun, but a meaningful part of their Cub Scout advancement journey.

Day Camp is a unique opportunity for families to share adventures, try new activities side by side, and create lasting memories as part of the adventure. Back For More Discounts are available for attending multiple weeks of camp. When you register for a 2nd week of camp, you will receive 25% off the Early Bird Price. When you register for a 3rd and any additional weeks of camp, you will receive 35% off the Early Bird Price.
